  This book is a legal biography of Chief Justice William Rehnquist of the United States Supreme Court and the legacy he created. It is an intensive examination of his thirty-three year legacy as a Supreme Court Justice based on his Court opinions, primarily in the area of constitutional law, and written by a group of legal scholars each of whom Brand: Cambridge University Press.   The Rehnquist Choice by former White House Counsel John Dean is a quick and engaging history of President Nixon’s decision making process to fill a set of open seats on the Supreme Court of the United States. It is also, I suspect, an attempt at a mea culpa (although not really necessary IMHO) by Dean – but the real message here, at least /5.

  While researching the original female Supreme Court justice for his book First, slated for release in March , author Evan Thomas discovered letters between the two that indicated Rehnquist continued to romantically pursue O’Connor months after they had broken up, NPR reported. Rehnquist's first professional brush with the separation of powers came soon after the start of his legal career as a junior law clerk to Justice Robert Jackson. It was an auspicious start. Rehnquist began his clerkship in February , just months prior to the famous Youngstown separation of powers.
